Jan. 11– Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has sent a message of condolence to President Rouhani on the sudden death of Hashemi Rafsanjani, former president and head of Expediency Council.
“The news of death Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani was received with grief; people of Kazakhstan will always bring in the collective memory the ayatollah as a wise politician, a sage, and figure of lasting impression, who had waged laudable efforts to improve bilateral ties,” read the message.
 “in this time of mourning, I understand that the loss is great and would hardly be relieved; on behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and myself, condole with you and Iranians the death of the late president message; May God bless him,” the message concluded.
