Kyrgyzstan's court sentenced the son of the deposed president Maxim Bakiyev to another prison term. Pervomaisky District Court determined the sentence to 30 years in prison. It is reported by the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to him, on April 29, the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek considered the criminal case against Maxim Bakiyev, Sergei Kim, Denis Gladyshev, Uliana Pak, Nazira Iminova, Pulat Iminov, Aleksey Yeliseev. Bakiyev Jr. was found guilty of "coercion to commit the transaction or refusal of its fulfillment," "money laundering" and extortion.
He was sentenced to 30 years in a maximum security colony with confiscation of property and a fine of 50 calculation indices with the deprivation of the right to hold public office for a period of 3 years.
The court also convicted Sergey Kim. He was sentenced to a total of 20 years' imprisonment with a fine of 50 calculation indices, confiscation of property, deprivation of right to hold public office for a period of 3 years. Denis Gladyshev and Ulyana Pak sentenced to 15 years, Nazira Imanova - 14 years, Pulat Iminov - 9 years. Aleksey Yeliseev sentenced in absentia to eight years in prison.
Court elected him a measure of restraint in the form of absentee detention. The verdict can be appealed in the Bishkek City Court within ten days.
