Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and China agree on cooperation in road transport sphere
The implementation of the Agreement between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan, China and Uzbekistan on international road transport reached on Feb. 19, 1998 was considered at the tripartite meeting in Tashkent on Jan. 24-25 this year, the press service of the Uzbek Agency for Automobile and River Transport reported.
The meeting participants focused on the formation of the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China automobile corridor and the further development of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan, China and Uzbekistan in the field of international road transport.
The sides exchanged information on the state of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the field of international road transport, discussed the implementation of the signed Agreements in this sphere, agreed on preliminary quotas for the exchange of permission forms for the carriage of goods for 2018, and considered practical issues related to the implementation of international road transport in the territories of the three states.
The sides stressed that the automobile corridor Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China is of key importance from the point of view of diversification of foreign trade routes and a substantial reduction in the terms of transportation of goods between states and transit through their territories.
