Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev plans to pay an official visit to Iran’s capital of Tehran in coming days in a bid to meet high-ranking Iranian officials.
The two-day visit will take place at the invitation of the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
The Kazakh president will be in Tehran on April 11 to discuss ways to improve mutual relations and the latest regional and international developments, Press TV reported.
The two presidents plan to discuss the implementation of agreements reached during Rouhani’s trip to Astana in September 2014.
Rouhani and Nazarbayev will also exchange views about strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, investment, agriculture, transit and transport sectors as well as about improving regional and international security.
The Iranian president visited Astana on September 8-9, 2014 at the head of a high-ranking politico-economic delegation and held talks with the country’s senior officials including Nazarbayev. The two presidents inked a number of agreements to boost cooperation in various fields, particularly in the economic sphere.
